Colophon

Brabbelus is a small press for the made things — die gemachten Dinge. Every page here is one impression: set once, pulled once, and left as it fell.

It runs four forms. Essays think out loud. Stories lie in order to tell the truth. Poems say it in the fewest possible marks. The Journal keeps the dates honest.

The face on the cover is Bertrand Russell, after Milton Glaser — kept here as a household saint of plain speech, printed in a niche so the red never runs through him.

The text is set in EB Garamond; the specimen rows stand in UnifrakturCook, Grenze Gotisch, Cinzel, Uncial Antiqua, and Pirata One. The whole thing is printed in one colour of ink and one of paper — vermilion and ice — with the register left deliberately loose.

Nach uns die gemachten Dinge.
